First thing, we would like to know about your basic info as a person, daily life, career so far and anything you would like to share about you with your readers and your well-wishers and also with us.
Answer: I am Beena Anil , Assistant Professor of English and Vice Principal, SDNB Vaishnav college for Women. I have twenty years of teaching experience at the tertiary level. I have authored four books (You can be a Winner, Correct your English, Quotation of Great Thinkers, Confused Words) and have more than 25 research papers that are published in international journals of repute. I am on the editorial board of more than ten international journals. I am a passionate teacher who wants to share and create new ideas with my students. I lead them to progress through my positive teaching and learning experiences inside and outside the classroom. I believe that my students’ trust in me is the biggest motivation to march forward with a cherishing attitude for being a ‘successful’ teacher.

The Spirit Mania: Please tell us something about your journey of becoming an author/blogger/teacher and other fields in which you are working? When you actually started your journey and how was the circumstance? Did any person or situation influence you to become what you are today?
Answer
: I love my profession as a teacher. I started my journey as a guest lecturer in the year 1999 and I am proud to work for one of the best women educational institutions in Chennai for more than a decade.
I was highly influenced by my grandfather who was an award winning teacher and as a child I witnessed that my ancestral house was always buzzing with his old students’ visit. The respect that he received from his students made me to achieve the dream of being a teacher. My mother was my motivating factor and my sister Leena is always my driving force who persuaded me to pursue my higher education. I dedicate my success and accomplishments to my gurus, friends, colleagues, my lovable students. I owe a lot to my sister Ms.Leena, my well supported husband Mr.Anil Kumar, my children Abiram Sai and Dharmika, brother in law Dharani, sister in law Sunitha, my in laws, my relatives and my neighbors.

The Spirit Mania: Please tell the readers something about your interest in the respective field. What is your message to those readers who are trying to do the best in your field?
Answer: I remember Ralph Waldo Emerson’s words, ‘To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment’.
A good teacher reads a lot and expresses to the best understanding of her/his students. Read a lot to teach a lot. Always Love your profession. Love your voice. Always enter the class with a smile and believe every time that it is the first day of your profession. Prepare really well for the class even though you know the subject or the concept well. Instill positivism among students and promote their learning ability in their interested field. Develop team work and cognitive interaction and activation in the classroom as a result students can equip themselves to face any challenges as well as they develop their higher order thinking skills for their bright future.

The Spirit Mania: And yes, the most important thing we would like to hear from you is what is your message to those girls and women who are suffering from any problem in their journey to achieve something big? You have been their source of motivation, please convey your thoughts with them.
Answer: Everyone should be empowered to create change and that can be fructified only through education. The secret of the dictum ‘success follows success’ this is a combination of knowledge and effort. To achieve success in your life you should systematically plan and execute it with dedicated efforts. Success is not merely a question of luck or genius. No goal is difficult to achieve, what you need is a strong determination and unwavering resolve to achieve your cherished aim. You are all winners and winners do things differently. Winners have an important secret – they only visualize success. They start doing their work with complete confidence to achieve their goal. Always be a purpose-driven person in life and do not exchange time for money. Be always confident and your confidence will add colour to your wonderful life.

The Spirit Mania: Being one of the Influential Women; what type of changes do you want in your society as well as with respect to women?
Answer: Changes should start from the basic life of everyone. Young minds are the resource of our country; we should discover the transformative power among them to advocate change with a local and global outlook. Young children should be brought up in a right way; they should be taught how to respect women. Children should learn how to preserve a right mental attitude of courage, frankness, optimism and good cheer to attain the well-designed goal. They should develop thinking skills which will help them adapt to the world of changes. Educate children to be true to themselves and make them understand that they are the captain of their life. When children understand that the success of oneself is the success of one’s strength, power, confidence and will power they develop positive attitude easily. In today’s world children are considered to be change makers but they are. Teach them to respect girls, women, elders, and nature so as to translate the world into a paradise to live in. Encourage and allow them to think so that they can create their own environment together to achieve peace and happiness in their life as well in others.
Great! We have come to the end of our interview session.
Thank you
