- Take us through the journey of writing your book.
Answer: The journey of एक करवट अधूरी was surely not an easy one but it will always in the good memories of mine. I faced a lot of difficulties at the starting as people around me were not accepting the fact that poetry writing is a great idea. I thus, faced a lot of opposition’s, during this I time I even decided to quit writing but then, I realised that writing is not just my passion but I want to make my identity through my works. So I started writing again and came up with this work of mine.
- Tell us something about your book.
Answer: एक करवट अधूरी is a poetry collection in Hindi. This book is having poems related to all the walks of life. The poems in this collection will show you the different phases of life and of the society. Through this book the readers can get inspired, emotional and even come in touch with the reality.
- It’s a saying that writers are another creators. Do you agree with it?
Answer: Writers according to me are surely the creators as they not only create the content they make the society aware of the hidden truths that are prevailing in their surroundings. The writer not only shows what the reality is but also develops emotions in the readers.
- Your inspiration besides your family?
Answer: The only Inspirations I am having are my Mother and my elder Brother. My Brother is the one, who is always there to support me, and my mother is the one without whom this journey could not have been possible. It is just because of them that today, I gained back my confidence in myself even when people were against me.
- Tell us something about yourself.
Answer: I am a student pursuing my Masters in English Literature. Literature for me has always been a passion for which I would like to live my life. I belong to Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and I am particularly interested in poetry. For me life is not a journey but a series of lessons which make us live not only happily but also with confidence which at the end makes the life full of hopes, happiness and success.
- By holding your own book is a special feelings always. For you, how was that feeling?
Answer: When, I got my book in my hand the first thing I thought was not about myself but about the people who may fell proud with this achievement of mine. The next, I thought was of Goddess Durga as she is the only one who provides me with the strength to ignore the world and keep on the things I am upto. Holding the book was although the best experience which cannot be written in worlds.
- Who is your favorite author and what is your favorite book?
Answer: Being, a student of literature I read a lot of works by many authors but William Shakespeare, William Wordsworth and Robert Frost occupy special place in my heart. “Hamlet” is the favorite book of mine.
- Share some memories (good and bad both) of your reader’s response.
Answer: One of my reader once said to me that he will include the lines from my poem in this day today life as they inspired him and encouraged him to move on. This is a good memory which I got from a reader. The bad one is that, when I posted about my work on a social networking site, one of my reader abused me and said that my works are not worth reading.
- What are your other hobbies?
Answer: Listening to music and paintings are other hobbies of mine.
- What is your next plan of writing?
Answer: I will surely be coming up with next poetry collection of mine this year in October .
- Do you ever feel like writing is tough?
Answer: As, Wordsworth said “ Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of emotions recollected in tranquility” in the similar manner for me writing is expressing emotions. If you have a strong overflow of emotions writing will never be difficult.
- When did you first realize that language has some power to bind hearts?
Answer: I realised this thing when I was in 8th standard and got interested in reading poetry. This was the time when I started writing too.
- Which genre you prefer the most for writing?
Answer: I am interested in writing the poetry the most .
- What challenges did you face while writing and getting published ?
Answer: I did not faced any challenge in getting published but it was tough for getting recognized by the readers at first.
- Few words for your lovely readers?
Answer: Reading, is a habit that should be developed. For this work of mine I would just like to say that this should be given a chance so that I could get encouraged for writing further.
